Mountainfall

Elephants vs Rhinoceros

Two players take turns placing and moving their animals on a 5×5 board. Three mountains sit in the center. Your goal: push a mountain off the board.

Rules

On your turn, do one of:

  • Enter — Place a reserve piece on any edge cell, choosing which direction it faces.
  • Move — Move a piece one cell (up/down/left/right) and set its direction.
  • Rotate — Change a piece's facing direction without moving it.
  • Withdraw — Remove your piece from an edge cell back to reserve.

Pushing: A piece can push a line of pieces/mountains in its facing direction if its side has more force. Each aligned piece behind adds +1 force; each opposing piece subtracts. Mountains add resistance but no force.

Winning: The player who pushes a mountain off any edge of the board wins — even if the push was helped by the opponent!
